Kristen met Ed Webler and Humanas while she was the Director of Development at CRSM from 2013-2019. So when Ed was looking for help to mentor additional students from CRSM in 2022, it was an easy “yes” since Kristen and Mike were familiar with both the quality of CRSM students and the good works of Humanas. Kristen led the fundraising effort to build a permanent campus for CRSM, and over her 7+ years at the school she raised over $40 million for the school. Mike founded AI start-up Opex Analytics which was sold to Llamasoft in 2019 and then later to Coupa Software in 2020. They are happy to “pay it forward” through mentoring.
The Watson’s have three kids in high school and college. In their spare time they enjoy traveling, hiking, and going to Northwestern basketball games.
